THE GREAT GATSBY (Third Man Records) Incredible 2LP set featuring metal plated records (1 x GOLD plated, 1 x PLATINUM plated) with laser cut wooden jacket.
This set was only unpacked once to see the items for myself, and then was repacked into the original carton. I purchased this brand new as an investment piece several years ago, but was disappointed when I inspected the records recently to discover that one side of the gold record was showing TARNISHING, as well as one unusual MARK in the plating on the same side. Please look at picture #2 CAREFULLY. If you have been looking at these on eBay you will have noticed that this darkening/oxidation is very typical of the GOLD record, and more often than not it affects both sides. The other side of the gold vinyl is perfect, and the platinum LP is also perfect.
The first picture used in this listing is a generic picture of the full set unpacked as I did not want to pull it all out of the box again. The third picture shows the actual original carton with the set packed inside.
This set is complete and as new condition EXCEPT for the issues described on one side of the GOLD LP. Please be sure you understand this completely before bidding - I do not want unhappy customers! PLEASE message me with any questions or concerns about this.
