Description
You are bidding on (what some consider) the "holy grail" of the Grateful Dead's recorded history.
These were pressed in Germany for the European release of the box set in 2017.
Recorded from the soundboard by Betty Cantor-Jackson (a "Betty-Board!") and meticulously remastered to perfection.
Five (5) records in all, and the last side HAS THE ETCHING! (see photos).
These records are in fantastic shape! They have been played (literally) once and stored in a smoke-free/damp-free environment.
Would make a killer x-mas gift for a Deadhead audiophile! Or yourself, whatever.
"Sourced from the original soundboard recordings by Betty Cantor-Jackson, the sound is colorful and vivid, an excellent complement to a prime Dead performance. What makes this such an exceptional performance isn't that it's the Grateful Dead at their most experimental... but at their warmest.... If this isn't the best Grateful Dead show ever – a hard thing to quantify – it's nevertheless at the sweet spot of providing hardcore Deadheads with plenty to savor while offering a good introduction for neophytes, which is more than enough to make it essential. " - Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Allmusic.
