GRATEFUL DEAD EUROPE '72 - VOL. 2 Rhino Records (Warner) – R1 528783
Up for auction is a NM 2011 (opened but vinyl only played twice - not all the way through on second playing) 4lp deluxe limited Rhino RSD set of Grateful Dead's 2nd formally released chronicle of their 1972 European tour, "Europe '72 - Vol. 2". Produced for Record Store Day release 10 years ago, this gorgeous set includes both "Dark Star" and "The Other One", which were obviously too long for the first volume's 3 record capacity. This is the U.S. manufactured version, with a limited press run of 3,000 sets. To suggest that these sets are drying up would be an understatement.
DEAD WAX INFO: SEE DISCOGS as there is way too much info for me to even begin to list here. PLEASE refer to U.S. manufactured version, as opposed to the European version. VINYL VISUAL: NM with no issues. Anyone familiar with Rhino Records' heavy pink-tinged plastic inners knows that these things can leave a sonically harmless residue on vinyl that looks somewhat dulling. I have meticulously (and carefully) cleaned these lps, then have inserted all 4 lps into much less intrusive Audiophile rice-plastic inners, and then these have been re-inserted back into the heavy Rhino plastic inners. These lps have really been cared for.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: NM with as new fidelity. Played twice by me, not even in full the second time.
COVER / BOOKLET VISUAL GRADE: VG+ and close to NM with full RSD outer plastic sleeve that still has the 2 hype stickers. Just a minor bump, and a completely harmless 1" crease-type line that I really only noticed when tilting the cover to some light glare. The booklet has a very thin 3" crease from the top down at the fold where it got caught slightly in the back of the gatefold pocket. These are VERY minor flaws, but they must be mentioned. The set has been extremely well maintained.
Comes with original Rhino heavy plastic inners that I have lined with Audiophile style rice-plastic inners for reasons mentioned above. All inners in NM TOP SHAPE.

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST.
