Description
Up for auction is a classic jazz guitar album: Grant Green - Grant's First Stand, Blue Note BLP4064 from 1961. This has the 63rd st address, the deep grooves, the "ear," and the RVG stamp in the dead wax. This is an ex-radio DJ review copy of the album.
Sleeve EX-, with some age discoloration near the bottom of the back cover (can be seen in the photos), and an acquisition date of "May 7, 1961" in blue pen. Stamped "review copy" on the back. The spines are all intact, no ringwear, and the front cover is NM.
Record is EX+, stamped review copy on the label, and with a few superficial scuffs on both sides, potentially only played once on each side.
Overall an amazing copy of this album!
I am a university professor of music here in the US who inherited this and other records (Blue Note, Norgran, Impulse!, Columbia, Prestige, Fantasy, Riverside, etc.) from a collector and former radio DJ a few years back. I am looking to sell off some of these records to collectors/audiophiles who can get more enjoyment out of them than I can.
