Description

This is a limited edition reissue of the 1971 private pressing by the band Grannie - who's music included elements of melodic folk and psych with harder edged prog sounds.

This copy is one of only 350 pressed by Legacy records in 1993.  It has been played once and has been stored in a vinyl cover since purchase. (apologies for the light bulb fx on the pictures).

For that reason both record and sleeve are effectively in mint condition.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the group the record is hard to categorise. Tracks lke Leaving and Dawn are acoustic sounding and mellow with flute sounds. Other tracks are full with heavy guitar. The Tapestry of Delights described the LP as:

"...... one of these mega-rare privately pressed albums which originally only appeared in demo form with just a handful of copies being available in a home made paste on sleeve. The musical menu is guitar dominated heavy and progressive...... but with sufficient melody to make it worth a listen. It contains six cuts in all with Coloured Armageddon, the punchy Saga of a Sad Jester and leaving which has melodic guitar work, the pick of the punch".

Happy bidding,
