This is a limited edition set of 2 Brahms titles (4 discs in total) with the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra, housed in a craft-like three-sided back case in the same way as the individual sales package. -Wandt's Hand Soldier, Brahms recorded in 1990 and 1992 with the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra. It is full of sounds that can be said to be one of the achievements of this duo. In No. 1, the rapidity of the first movement's introduction and the ferocious climax of the development are just like Vanto. No. 2 is fully symphonic rather than chamber music-like, yet the tones of each instrument are beautifully combined to create a three-dimensional effect that will amaze you. The second movement of No. 3 is exceptionally beautiful, and I fell in love with it as I listened to the way the song gradually expanded into the orchestra. The second half of No. 4's passacaglia, which grows to a gigantic scale almost to the point of epic proportions, is simply amazing. The effect of ALTUS remaster is also outstanding. -All of the concertos soloed by the principal player of the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra were free-flowing performances with the elegant tones of modern instruments. The difficult piece ``Lontano'' was also conducted by Vanto.
