Description
1985 Plan 9 / Samhain catalog - With personal handwritten letter to me from Glenn Danzig
ORIGINAL catalog and letter postmarked April 4, 1985! I had written Glenn Danzig asking him about comics and why the Samhain Initium album I just bought had grey marbled streaks running through it! Letter written on back of a Plan 9 Records catalog, which is pretty cool just by itself, catalog lists Initium & Unholy Passion posters ($3), and 4 Samhain shirts ($7 & $8) - great graphics.
Letter reads: "Samhain will be in Baltimore on Apr. 13 at the New Loft. As far as other stuff, Nemesis is only good when O'Neill does it, I like Mr. Monster a lot. Only 50 Samhain on Marble. That's about all see you on tour. Glenn Danzig". Letter written in pen.
There you have it right from Danzig's hand, only 50 marbled Initium's. I've seen junior league punk collectors estimate the total anywhere from 15-100 copies pressed.
CONDITION: Very Good (folded and stored for the last 20 years) (the actual item does not have phonopostal in yellow printed on it and my name and address are not crossed out - those were for the auction photos)
