Gioconda De Vito was a great violinist who did not make a great number of recordings. This rare1950's mono LP is a wonderful recording of the Brahms concerto. Visually the record is excellent. Audibly, there is some light surface noise at the start of each side, probably caused by 'finger pinching' the edge of the record and therefore may be removable with further cleaning. Other than that there are some light scattered one-off ticks, but no repetitive ticking and no groove damage scratches or chips. The recorded sound is absolutely clean and free from distortion throughout. If the buyer is unsatisfied the record can be returned for full refund without question (less postage) The sleeve has not had the same care and there are several small tears and one 8cm tear on the front section. The top right hand edge is split to about10cm. There are no pieces missing however and the tears could be partially repaired. (The original shaped tranparent inner sleeve is included although the record has now been placed in a stronger inner sleeve) Please check my feedback file which shows you can bid with confidence.(Most records I have sold are some way back) Good luck.
