Original 1969 SR Records 1st pressing, cat. SR-SP 124, Italy.

RHYTHMS IN SUSPENSE, a true classic from the Sermi catalogue by the US-born Italian Electronic music progenitor Gino Marinuzzi Jr., originally composed for a specific Rai TV broadcast from 1968. Scarce original 1st edition of the album with original Sedrim sticker on label and the classic quality thick cardboard sleeve. Maestro Marinuzzi started to create minimalistic and Experimental music earlier than any other in 1956 when he built the first laboratory of Electronic music in Italy along with Paul Ketoff, later became a renomated sound engineer. They built together the first synthesizer prototype, the 'Fonosynth', a large analogue valve and transistor based studio synth in 1958. The maestro after his long studies in the seminal Electronic music field and Musique Concrète used his experience to start composing music for films and television, working among others with directors Mario Bava and Jean Renoire. Here is one of his best Library productions along with "Musica Ed Elettronica". Dramatically atmospheric, the album collects appropiate musical themes for dramatic tension situations with rhythmic cues, moody and dynamic improvisations. Refined Avant-garde Giallo Drama music for TV suspense/high-tension scores. Avant-garde Jazz studio orchestra with rhythmic sections, brass band, strings, vibraphone, percussions and various orchestral colours / obsessive and obstinated loops / rhythmical and tone researches / deep atmospheres with anxiolytic and dissonant sounds. Striking Giallo artwork.

Obstinated beat from the cool Giallo theme "OSTINATO OSSESSIVO" with driven drumming and deep piano and guitar notes. More dynamic rhythmical vibes on "RHYTHMS IN SUSPENSE" with inspired Jazz Avant-garde vein and some noisy horns. "BATTAGLIA DI RITMI" is an amazing theme with improvised beats and percussions and tension vibes, perfect action/giallo theme. More early Poliziesco vibes on "SENZA RESPIRO", additional Avant-garde Jazz job on "BANDITI A CHICAGO" and noxious dissonant sounds on "TOSSICOMANIA".
