The maestro Gilberto Gil is back at NRC! Recorded in Los Angeles, this marks the first-ever vinyl release in Brazil for an album produced by Sergio Mendes. The record seamlessly blends tracks in Portuguese with English or bilingual versions of timeless compositions from that era, such as "Here and Now" ("Aqui e Agora"), "Nightingale" ("Rouxinol"), and "Maracatu Atômico." The album also features two unreleased gems, "Samba de Los Angeles" and "Move Along With Me," crafted in the United States for this exclusive vinyl launch. During the recording, Gil brought together a stellar ensemble of Brazilian and international musicians, including Abraham Laboriel, Lee Ritenour, Robertinho Silva, and Rubão Sabino. It's an unmissable release for any music enthusiast, showcasing the boundless beauty of Brazilian music.
