Gil Melle ~ The Andromeda Strain OST ~ (1971) [vg/vg+]

Label/Catalogue # kapp Records KRS5513

Cover is VG-  Record is EX-

Original soundtrack to the 1971 Sci-Fi movie 'The Andromeda Strain'.

Highly sought-after and rare experimental electronic soundtrack by Avant-Garde Jazz composer Gil Melle, employing self-made electronic instruments and Musique Concrète techniques to make a highly unique and original film score.

This is the original release featuring the fold-out gimmick cover and hexagonal 10" record. Great for any OST collector or Avant-Garde/Musique Concrète enthusiast.

The cover is VG-. Two of the out-folding segments have developed tears; one with a tear half-way, and the other is almost completely torn but is still nonetheless attached. There are some minor bends on the outside surface of the segments and on the corners of the cover. There is some writing on the top-right which says '10" record', and a remnant of a small sticker on the bottom-left. The back of the cover has a few small patches of scuffing but otherwise all good. Other than that, the rest of the cover is in good shape.

The record has a surface-mark on side 1 which doesn't effect play. Disc is otherwise in great shape.
