Gil Melle (with Joe Cinderella, Ed Thigpen, Billy Phillips) PRIMITIVE MODERN Prestige 7040, recorded 1956. Deep grove yellow-and-black original mono. West 50th Street address on label and jacket. Jacket is VG+: Bottom edge is chipped 30%; one corner bent, back cover is going grey. Disc looks E. A side plays VG++: A side has cyclical crackle all through track 1, subsiding only in track 2. B side plays VG++ as well: late crackle never completely goes away, cyclical pop for 30 rev.s on last track.
