Description

GIGI GRYCE, Metrojazz E 1006, mono, deep groove pressing.

The musicians on this very rare 1958 recording are Gigi Gryce (various woodwinds, with overdubs), Hank Jones (piano), Milt Hinton (bass), Osie Johnson (drums).
The tunes are In a Sentimental Mood, Blues March, Sea Breeze, Bangoon, It Don't Mean a Thing, Cold Breeze, Rich and Creamy, My Ideal, Baba's Blues, Little Susan, Lullaby For Milkman, Somewhere.

Condition of record is E-, no scuffs, 1/4 inch scratch on side B track 2 plays through but clicks for about 1 minute; a few spindle marks. Aside from the one scratch, this is a beautiful copy of this very rare item. Jacket shows very slight overall wear, 2 inch seam split top right.

G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.
