Signal Records 1201 (mono) (made in USA) - Gigi Gryce LP released in 1955. This is an original first pressing. "RVG" is etched in the dead wax on both sides of the record, Rudy Van Gelder engineered the record.
Side one (orchestra) personnel: Gigi Gryce, alto sax; Art Farmer, trumpet; Eddie Bert, James Van Dyke, trombones; Danny Banks, Cecil Payne, baritone sax; Gunther Schuller, Julius Watkins, french horn; Bill Barber, tuba; Horace Silver, piano; Oscar Pettiford, bass; Art Blakey, Kenny Clarke, drums; Ernestine Anderson, vocals.
Side two (quartet) personnel: G.G., alto sax; Thelonious Monk, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Art Blakey, drums.

The condition of the record is VG, plays VG+. The cover is in Good condition, the top seam is split for 2 inches from the open edge, the bottom seam is ineptly taped and the spine is completly split.
