This is the fantastic soundtrack to Duccio Tessari's 1970 thriller La Morte Risale a Ieri Sera (AKA Death Took Place Last Night and Death Occurred Last Night).

For the La Morte Risale a Ieri Sera soundtrack, Gianni Ferrio pulls out all the stops and gives us a great selection of styles - moody jazz, big band grooviness, great clavichord bizniss, jerk-beat craziness, atmospheric incidental music and some lovely soft flute-and-trumpet-based orchestral lounge. Gianni Ferrio. Bloody genius!

Director Duccio Tessari got Gianni Ferrio on board again for soundtrack duties for his 1971 giallo Una Farfalla Con Le Ali Insanguinate.

The La Morte Risale a Ieri Sera soundtrack was originally released in 1970 on Cinevox Records as limited edition of only 500 copies.
