Giacomo Manzoni Words from Beckett Maderna Atalia
The RAI Chamber Chorus and the Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of RAI, Rome conducted by Bruno Maderna plays “Parole De Beckett” (Words from Beckett) by Giacomo Manzoni, a work for 2 Choirs, three instrumental Groups and Magnetic Tape. The record also includes Manzoni’s “Ode” for Orchestra played by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano conducted by Ernest Bour. An Italian stereo pressing on the Atalia Label (ITL 70098), the record is of immaculate appearance and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover and booklet are excellent.
