Description

Mega Rare Samba Soul Black Rio single from Gerson King Combo - King known for his James Brown influenced Black Rio sound on his famous Polydor LP from 77 was already recording funky soul earlier in the 70s.

On the cult Tapecar label and featuring a frame worthy cover of Gerson King standing in the street downtown Rio.

In the early 90s I was a record dealer buying in Brazil and I would always keep the best condition copies of great albums for myself. Records in Brazil in those days were almost always trashed or ruined with sticky alcohol (supposedly to clean them). Any pristine examples I would hang on to and clean them back in the UK on a professional industrial grade record cleaner.

A Quando A Cidade Acorda B Me Da Mais Um Cigarro

Condition:

Cover is Near Mint

Humidity and atmosphere in Rio mean that most vintage LP sleeves have some discolouration or foxing.

7" is EXC - vinyl very glossy.

Brazilian vinyl from this era ALWAYS had pops and other small issues when playing even when factory sealed. For a super rare LP from 40 years ago this is in the best condition possible.
