- ?A solid example of early commercial electronic music. This release originally hit the stands in 1969, only a year since Walter Carlos' 'Hooked On Bach' and also about the time the market was being flooded with like-minded moog cheese. Kingsley's first project without former partner JJ Perrey still shines as a truly groundbreaking piece of work. There's a nice and warm pre-Tangerine Dream feel to these tracks (all covers), particularly evident on his version of 'Popcorn', which sounds better than Hot Butter's 1972 version. Other tracks, such as his cover of 'Scarborough Fair' and 'For Alisse Beethoven' sound way ahead of their time. The lead 'Hey Hey' track is very nice, as well as the most familliar to most listeners. Even the less-impressive 'Twinkle Twinkle' can still grow likeable with repeated listening. Reccomended!

All records are carefully graded. In an attempt to give customers an accurate impression of condition rather than adhere to somewhat arbitrary criteria, I give an "overall presentation" grade, supplemented when necessary with additional remarks (which is more often than not). Please refer to my grading system below for a more detailed explanation as well as my general comments above in the grading description. Most items will be play-graded and/or sampled.
GRADING DESCRIPTIONS
Records:
- Sealed: still factory sealed….any defects will be noted
- Mint: Like new or near new with only one or two small insignificant defects
- Near Mint/M-: Extremely nice….generally any defects will be superficial and will be detailed
- VG++: Still a very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a few more light, surface marks, hairlines, needle tracks or the like
- VG+: A nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a some pops
- VG: A well-used record that still should sound OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, and even a possible skip.
- VG-: A very well-worn record that plays through, probably has skipping and snap, crackle, pop
- Good: Probably will play through but with much in the way of surface noise, pops, crackles, skips etc.
- Fair: You’re getting this record just to own – generally listed due to rarity regardless of condition
- Poor: The sky’s the limit as far as condition in the negative sense – generally listed due to rarity regardless of condition
COVERS:
There are really too many possible defects regarding covers to be as specific in my definitions as I had been with my record grades. But please keep in mind these general grading guidelines as I will use the above grading format with general specific comments as to condition, etc.
