Georgie Fame - Rhythm & Blues At The Flamingo LP My friend thinks this is the greatest live album of all time. He saw Georgie Fame at the Flamingo in 1964, not the night this was recorded but he remembers it well despite only being 15!
This is an original first mono issue, the vinyl is clean and sounds great - there's a lot of audience appreciation! It grades EX-, it's been played a few times but carefully looked after and recently cleaned.
The sleeve is also very nice, there's some light creasing, a bit of corner damage and a crossed out name on the back but it's bright and vibrant with a great spine. I'd grade it a strong VG+.
Having listened to it I have to concede it is a great live album, really atmospheric. You can almost see the condensation dripping from the ceiling!
Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
