George Wallington With Strings mono Norgran 1010 yellow label deep groove w/ trumpet
George Wallington (p) with strings Rec. 1954
The record looks VG++ and plays VG to VG+. Norgran pressings frequently do not play up to visual grade. This is a slightly noisy pressing. Music plays strong and enjoyably without distortion over light surface noise of the occasional light tick type audible during quiet passages. No scratches or scuffs on Side 1. Side 2 has a small app 1/4 inch hairline mark on last track that did not tick. Grooves do not look heavily played.
The cover is VG. The front cover has heavy wear with dent damage and slick missing at the spine. There's also a "Norgran" sticker on the front. The back cover has moderate to heavy wear. Spots of wear and denting on the corner. No split seams but the seams and the spine are all heavily worn with spots where the slick is missing.
Black lines that might be visible at bottom left and top right in pictures are due to photo cropping and not on record.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
