       True Story:

       In 1965, my friend and I were on a subway in Manhattan when two guys from across the car approached us. They were in suits so we didn't panic. They introduced themselves as record promotion men. We were 19 and 20 years old and so I guess they thought we were avid teen record buyers. They presented us with several promo 45's. This George Smith 45 was one of them. I played the 45's when I got home and I didn't really care for any of them. But, I put them safely into my 45 collection where they sat all of these 51 years! Now, I am cleaning out some of my records.

       So, I am selling this copy that was played just once, back in '65. It's George Smith doing "I've Had It"/ "When Love Turns To Pity" on Turntable Records #713 with white promo labels.

       The vinyl looks Mint and when I played some of it, it played in Mint condition. It's a beautiful copy of what is now a desirable Northern Soul gem.
