George Michael ORIG OZ LP Faith V+ ’87 Epic 4600001 Dance Pop Rock
Original OZ LP released in 1987 on Epic Records. Cat: 4600001. Comes with printed inner bag which has some age marks and is in VG+ condition. A superbly crafted mainstream pop/rock masterpiece, Faith made George Michael an international solo star, selling over ten million copies in the U.S. alone as of 2000. Perhaps even more impressively, it also made him the first white solo artist to hit number one on the R&B album charts. Michael had already proven the soulful power of his pipes by singing a duet with Aretha Franklin on the 1987 smash "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)," but he went even farther when it came to crafting his own material, using sophisticated '70s soul as an indispensable part of his foundation.
Tracks : Faith/ father figure/ I want your sex/ One more try/ Hard day/ hand to mouth/ Look at your hands/ Monkey/ Kissing a fool. There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some light crackles and is in VG+ condition. Cover has small sticker stains on back top edge, light marks and ring wear and a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
