Description
This is George's 1st solo demo single on the Beatles Apple label, cat.no. R 5884. The record is in lovely condition with very bright shiney surfaces, I can detect no marks.
Sadly a DJ from the time has pushed out the centre but the black "A" demo designation is on the label and in the correct position for a 1st issue demo aligned with the catalogue number. The 1976 demo's had lighter green labels with the "A" designation lower down the label.
I have just replayed this and can report no issues, there is a small amount of static crackle in the quieter moments that a professional clean should improve.
The stampers are 1R/1R which all of the My Sweet Lord demo's are.
The matrix no.is: 7YCE 21511-1, 7YCE 21512-1.
Release date for this demo was 15.1.71.
I will include a picture of a demo with the centre intact for comparison.
A rare opportunity at an attractive price.
