Description

A 1st pressing of Material World on the UK Apple label from 1974. Matrix 4U/2U. Stampers 1AL/3AM. Etchings "GOT HITRE KRSNA HARE". The heavy set vinyl comes housed in a heavy-card gatefold cover. Also included is the original fold-out lyric sheet and the original ochre colour shaped inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex) In lovely condition and has clearly seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a tiny patch of very light marks on side 1 - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A lot of the audio on this LP is very low-key and you are going to need a clean copy to do it proper justice. All we could detect was a touch of light static in track 3 [S1] and to be honest precious little else. It really is a very fine player..
Cover (Ex) Why couldn't they make all gatefold covers like this? Gah! The 1st issue heavy-card gatefold is a thing of beauty. Solid as anything and looking in superb condition with only very light evidence of handling. Shiny front and back and the interior is in a similar condition. Edge wear is very light and all the text on the spine is 100% intact. It retains perfect rigidity and remains a top example.
Inner (Vg+) A couple of side splits.
Lyric Sheet (Ex-) Slight handling wear. No major issues.
