Description
I bought this triple-LP box set (Apple STCH 639) when it first came out in 1970, and it has never left my possession since. I handled it with kid gloves when I did I play it--and I didn’t play it a lot. I probably haven’t played it once in the past 40 years (except to sample it for this listing). The vinyl itself is in pristine condition and sounds great with just a few minor pops and occasional slight surface noise--only really noticeable between tracks. The box shows a bit of wear, with some slight scuffing to the front and a split at the top left corner of the cover (see photo). The lid and box are separated. All the sleeves are spotless, as is the interior foldout poster.
Please look carefully at the gallery photos to get a good idea of the condition of this box set. I put some extra flash on the vinyl photos so that you can get a good look at the fabulous quality of the grooves--but sometimes that put a glare on the album label. Rest assured that the labels are as spotless and sharp as the day I bought this.
