Description

This is a no reserve auction for the following LP vinyl record:

Artist: Gentle Giant

Title: Acquiring The Taste

Year: 1971

Cat # Vertigo VEL 1005 Stereo

Vinyl Condition: VG+

Cover Condition: VG/VG+

Comments: Vinyl plays great! tested on headphones. There are a few hairline sleeve swipes here and there but no serious audible noises could be heard.  The labels are excellent! the classic Vertigo "Swirl" label with tracks listed on one side. The cover has some creasing on left side about 2 inches, at the very top and at right upper corner. Most of the creasing is light, so it still looks great. There is some mild rub wear, more so on the back lower. There is also a weird "symbol" drawn on the back at lower corner. This record was part of an old hippies collection, and it seems he drew this on all his LP's. Very cool actually!  All seams are intact. There is a very small wear mark on the right side, but it is not worn through by any means. Any questions feel free to ask.

Be sure to check out my other record auctions. I will combine shipping for multiple auctions.

**** NOTE TO BUYERS****

I use the Goldmine record grading system, which is detailed below. Cover's and vinyl are graded separately and may not fall into the same category. Some records and/or covers may fall into two categories, if I feel it is necessary. If you would like more detail about the condition of a specific title, please feel free to ask. I will respond promptly.

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and unplayed.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) -  Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. Also may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at discount.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, or small seam splits.

G (GOOD) - Vinyl has moderate, ever wear throughout, but still playable. Surface noise and scratches. A cover or sleeve will has large seam splits. especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the cover.

P (POOR) - Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable. The sleeve is water damages, split on all three seams or heavily marred by wear and writing.
