Description
Selling last of my personal record collection that i’ve collected over the last 55 years. They are down to one shelf in a cupboard now. Just a few more to be added. It’s been a lifetime experience but when they are gone i’m finished. Reasonable offers accepted.

Genuine guaranteed 1st UK pressing which has been played in full before listing. Deep reluctance that i part with this , its been with me since the week of its original UK release and is my favourite UK prog LP, but i am selling all i have , so its time to go.

This is an original UK first press on the large Mad Hatter Charisma label.
Labels have "Manufactured And Distributed By B&C Records Ltd." credits.
Cover is the original pale colour with "Marketed by B&C Records, 37 Soho Square, London, W1. Printed & made by the E.J. Day Group, London & Bedford".
Includes its original dark green thick card printed lyric inner sleeve/bag.
Catalogue number CAS1074 with first press A-1U/B-2U matrix and run-outs etched with PORKY RAY and PECKO.
The LP is 54 minutes long, way longer than the audio optimal for a single disc LP. So no matter how it was ever going to be cut or remastered as a single disc in the future it was never going to be in the hifi reference class. General opinion falls on the side that this the very first original press sonically sounds the best.
The disc visually is VG+, clean and shiny. It plays all the way through with no skips or jumps. The disc has no scratches, when held up to a bright light there are some faint lines from originally being stored in the stiff inner sleeve. After i bought it on CD it has since been in storage in a plain sleeve for the last 30+ years.
After so long in storage it could do with a really deep clean, as it currently plays with some occasional background noise pops mainly heard in the quieter parts like Phil Collins singing the last track “more fool me”. Still as it is its an enjoyable listen but please it needs a professional clean which might reduce the pops.
The cover is VG+. The cover is fully intact, just some light agewear.
The printed inner sleeve is fully intact, no seam splits and in nice condition.
