Description
Clean and tidy VG copy of Genesis classic 3rd album on the original ‘pink scroll’ Charisma label, getting quite hard to find in decent condition now. Not a perfect copy by any means but will do until that NM copy comes along. Matrices are A-1U/B-2U, with ‘HILTOP’ etched on the dead wax on Side 1.
Gatefold Sleeve – Ex Textured on the outside. Light fading to top edge and spine, otherwise lovely condition.
Labels – Ex- Very clean but quite a lot of spindlewear, and some very light marks.
Inner sleeve – VG Original plain white paper inner. Handling marks and age-yellowing.
Record Visually VG Pretty good with light but visible sleeve-removal hairlines on both sides, and a small feelable 6mm scratch on Side 2 Track 3 ('Harlequin'). Playback is also VG, with surface noise throughout and patches of crackle during the quieter tracks. The scratch on Side 2 produces some momentary clicks, but otherwise the audio is still clear and powerful through most of the album.
I grade all records strictly using the 'Record Collector' guide.
