Genesis In Concert 180, 1978, BBC Transcription disc, CN3146/S, Ultra rare live
After about 35 years of collecting Genesis records, I've decided it's time to sell off some of my rarities. I have many very rare Genesis records and will be selling them off gradually over the coming months, starting with a couple of live radio show discs that I'm listing today. Sad to see this one go...This is one of the scarcest BBC Transciption discs around. I looked back through my old Genesis discographies of many years ago and this one wasn't even listed then, even in Record Collector's March 1987 issue which listed Genesis special pressings, including transcription discs.
This record feaures live recorings from Genesis seminal Knebworth performance. Side 1 contains: Burning Rope, Ripples and Fountain of Samacis and side 2 has The Lady Lies, Afterglow, Follow You Follow Me and Los Endos.
The record is in fantastic condition and is a close to mint as you will find. Centre of the label only has the smallest traces of spindle marks and no wear to the centre of the paper. This has been played very few times.
Authentic BBC green label. Great sound quality.
A real bonus here is the original cue sheet, printed on both sides. Small piece missing at top right corner. Apologies, but I've obscured part of this on the photographs in order to help prevent fakes appearing as the cue sheets are often missing with transcription discs.
