Genesis Foxtrot Original UK LP A1U B1U 1st Press N Mint
Genesis / Foxtrot. 1972 Original UK pressing of perhaps their greatest LP. Textured sleeve manufactured by E J Day with red lettering on the spine. The labels have the large mad hatter logo and bear the original marketed and distributed by B&C Records wording.
Matrix: Side 1 A-1U 1 GR. “Porky”. Side 2 B-1U 1 RM “Pecko”. Fairly early stamper numbers with GR being 12th and RM 24thcodes respectively. These codes went up to around 100th / 100th on the A-1U / B-1U stampers so these codes are relatively low (and early)
Overall Condition: This is a superb condition example of this LP. One of the very best copies I’ve ever come across. Overall grade is Near Mint.
Outer Sleeve: Near Mint. The outer sleeve is in fantastic condition. Nice bold red lettering on the spine. On many copies which have been exposed to light the lettering on the spine fades to a pale orange. Not so on this copy, where the lettering still retains its original red colour. It is difficult to find any particular faults with this copy. All the edges are in particularly good condition with virtually no wear or rubbing. Overall I grade as Near Mint.
Red Advertising Inner: Near Mint. Again one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. All the seams are unbroken and there is no writing or dirty marking on the inner. Really nice condition.
Record: EX+. I grade under strong halogen light which is always reveals more than any standard light. When held to strong halogen light there are just a few small hairline marks visible, none of these are particularly heavy marks and do not detract from the fact that this is a really top copy of this LP.
Labels: Graded Mint. Totally clean and unmarked.
