Description

An original 1st of DUKE from 1980. Matrix A1/B2. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. The left side openings is glued shut and forms a nice solid panel. The cover is clearly constructed from decent quality card.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very superficial scuffing marks - nothing that will enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one brief deviation. Intros and inbetweens play lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Hard to find fault. Expect nothing more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. An one solitary tick in the opening passage of 'Turn It On'. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Wowzer - no need to adjust your sets...this cover is Actually white. Not sure I've seen one like this before. After 40 years a white unlaminated cover is likely to be quite worn, or grubby, and aged. But this example is looking really pristine. Lovely smooth clean surfaces - that's front and back with hardly any deterioration at all. Interior looks superb - no issues. Hardly any edge wear and lovely firm openings. Four pointy corners. The spine is 100% intact - highly unusual. FINAL UPGRADE.
