Description

An original 1st press of ATOTT on the UK Charisma label. Matrix A1/B1. Please note labels are consistent with 1976 1st pressing and exhibit the Mad Hatter design with 'Phonogram' along the bottom edge. This is actually quite a nice heavy pressing considering it's from the mid-seventies. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured solid gatefold printed in Holland. Also included is the original solid card inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - but nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. I'm pleased to report that this early solid pressing manages to deliver a very clean and impressive rendition. Not quite perfect, but much much better than what typically tends to surface. Interference is really only vaguely noticeable in "Entangled". You might detect a couple of low-level crackles here and there - it's really not that noticeable at all... it just won't play quite as darn clean as the rest of the LP. The remaining tracks playback superbly. Great fidelity, power, and authority. The only deviations are a couple of ticks in the intro to track 1. There's a cacophony of sound firing off at this point - so it's fairly well hidden and not all that easy to make out [doesn't stand out]. And then a couple of low-level ticks in a couple of spots in the second half of 'Trick of The Tail' - pretty minor really..but I need to be fully upfront.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Due to it's textured nature and that ochre brown colouring this cover is one of those titles which is really hard to find in even half decent condition. But this example has clearly been very carefully looked after down the years. Lovely clean front and rear with barely any creasing, no surface wear, or discolouration. The interior follows suit and is in immaculate condition. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat.
Inner (Ex/Ex+) No splits. In tremendous condition. Hard to find fault..
