GENE VINCENT AND HIS BLUE CAPS

Wonderful rare first mono pressing of the late great Gene Vincent's classic rockabilly LP from 1956 (Capitol 764), indeed this is his first LP.   Tracks include Bluejean Bop, Jezebel, Who Slapped John, Ain't She Sweet, I Flipped, Waltz Of The Wind, Jump Back, Honey, Jump Back, That Gang Of Mine, Jumps, Giggles, And Shouts, Up A Lazy River, Bop Street, Peg O' My Heart.

As difficult as it is to find an original pressing of this LP, it is even harder to find in any reasonable condition. This example is amazing! Beautiful VG++ cover, equally matched with super shiny VG++ vinyl. Look at the photos!

Another very interesting aspect of this example of Gene's first LP. On the back cover there are four signatures  in ink. They appear to be of members of Gene's band: Dickie Harrell, Paul Peek, Johnny Meeks, and Tommy Facenda. I cannot guarantee that each is an original autograph, but my educated guess is that they are real, and were acquired during one of the band's reunion concerts in recent years.

The winning bidder adds $4.00 for media mail shipping in the U.S., plus insurance. More for outside the U.S. or for priority mail.
