Original 1972 first pressing vinyl... a limited edition 10-track LP released in 1972, as a remixed [and partially re-recorded] version of Gene's in demand very first solo album from 1967, featuring a wealth of top Californian musicians providing the backing, including fellow Byrds Chris Hillman and Michael Clarke, as well as Glen Campbell, Leon Russell, Clarrence White, Earl Palmer, Van Dyke Parks and many more...In the spring of 1972, original Byrds vocalist Gene Clark overhauled his first album for Columbia, by cutting the song "Elevator Operator," re-recording various vocal and instrumental tracks, and remixing the album drastically, and adding long detailed back cover notes. Clark's wonderful 1966 sessions were transformed into an album he re-titled under the name Early L.A. Sessions that was only released for a very short time, back 38 years ago...
