Gene Ammons All Stars Funky w.McLean-Waldron Prestige NY 446W mono DG yellow RVG Gene Ammons All Stars ' Funky ' PRESTIGE PRLP 7083 (USA) NY 446W mono yellow label with deep groove - rec. and issued in 1957 - on trail-off (dead wax) has the RVG for Rudy Van Gelder Gene Ammons : tenor sax - Art Farmer : trumpet - Jackie McLean : alto sax - Kenny Burrell : guitar - Mal Waldron : piano - Doug Watkins : bass - Arthur Taylor : drums Side A : Funky (K.Burrell) - Pint size (Mundy) Side B : Stella by starlight (Washington-Young) - King size (Mundy) Visual grading : record is VG+ full lustre has a wispy line on side A and a couple of light unfeelable surface marks on side B. Clean labels with light spindle wear. Side B label has a stamp with previous owner's name Playing grading : record is VG- to VG plays fairly well with loud and clear sound. Has some light occasional background noise mostly audible in quieter parts and has few light ticks and a couple of pops Cover grading : cover is VG- has wear to corners, edges and more evident to spine which has some small pieces of paper missing on top. Anyway titles on spine are partially redable. Front is nice but back has light rubbing, age yellowing and few stains around the edges.
