“Putt Putt Golf Courses Of America Presents Gee Gee Shinn And His Band” by Gee Gee Shinn & His Band (Putt Putt Golf Courses Record Department, SPP 333) Recorded at Columbia’s “Nashville Sound” Studios, Nashville, TN
An amazing record, inside and out! Apparently made to promote mini-golf franchises, this is an absolutely swinging soul set by Gee Gee & his Band. Features blazing covers of “Groovin’” “Soul Finger,” “Don’t You Care.” “Sweet Soul Music.” “Show Me” and tons more. Three originals (?) are “Jose Outside,” “Out Left Field,” and “Crying Man.” On one hand, this should have major appeal for “real people” fans because it’s so odd, but musically this thing is fantastic! These guys rock the Hammond & Horns soul sound quite respectably. I’d imagine this would appeal to the northern soul super-sleuth for it’s deep soul number “Out Left Field” and rare groove hunters for it’s ultra-funky and insane cover of “Summer Time.” Reminds me of the Peddlers a bit.
Should appeal to fans of northern soul, obscure funky dancers, Hammond organ, rare groove, breaks, beats, etc.
Condition: Cover = EX- (a tiny bit of edge wear)/ Records = EX (most likely unplayed prior to my finding it, no spindle marks)

Postage for 1-2 LPs within USA: Media Mail = $3.00 or Priority Postage = $6.50, each additional LP add $1.00 (per LP).
Insurance is optional, but any uninsured package is the Buyer’s responsibility (At Your Own Risk) and I cannot refund lost or damaged packages. Insurance rates are as Follows: 0-$50.00 = $1.30; $50.01 - $100.00 = $2.20; $100.01 - $200.00 = $3.20; $200.01 and Higher = $4.20.
