Description

Up for auction from 1963 Gus Cannon LP (Walk Right In) Stax-702 . Born: 9/12/1883 or 1884-10/13/1979 was an American blues musician who popularized his band (Cannon's Jug Stompers) in the 1920's. LP features Will Shade the former leader of The Memphis Jug Band on jug with Milton Roby on washboard along with his own Walk Right In with stories, and introductions between songs. Apparently only 500 copies of this LP were pressed, and only distributed in Memphis making this one of the rarest of all Stax LP's. COVER is VG+ Has basic shelf wear with some peeling on spines is starting to split at bottom right opening corner about 3/4" , and has discoloration from it's 54 years of age as shown is overall still very presentable. RECORD: Side1. Appears VG+ Has a needle scratch which I can  just catch with my nail, and two scuffs as shown in the last photo which look much worse in my photo then they are is overall mirror glossy, and plays super clean as if these marks are barely there. Side2. Appears a strong VG++ Has a couple micro needle hairlines with a small light scuff really not worth mentioning is overall mirror glossy clean, and plays the same. LABELS: Are nice with some light spindle marks. Comes in it's original generic inner sleeve which is splitting. Overseas bidders please message me for shipping prices, as I do insist on tracking.
