AFYON OPPIO OST GUIDO AND MAURIZIO DE ANGELIS
Very rare spanish first press of this killer Jazz Funk OST on Diresa-Cinevox DLP 1039 from 1973.
Music by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis, Orchestra by Gianfranco Plenizio. Ten excellent compositions well depicting the film plot. The opening theme, the pleasant ballad "Afyon", is sung in English by the De Angelis brothers as Oliver Onions; "Ankara" by the rather fast development with tasty funky jazz veins and oriental sounds led by flute well supported by bass and drums. "Cita de Negocios" refined lounge tune as well as from sustained rhythm with piano and bass in the foreground, "Claude" slow and relaxing bossa. "Tarde en el Night", an exciting upbeat soul dance tune by the hectic pace underlined by the tenor sax distorted sound well followed by an unrestrained brass section and the drums.
