ORIGINAL ITALIAN PRESSING on CGD (FGS 5071), from 1970. CULT and desirable LATIN LOUNGE / BOSSA session featuring the dreamy voice of PAOLA ORLANDI over arrangements and the trumpet playing of GUIDO PISTOCCHI. A sophisticated SMALL COMBO with flute / fender bass / drums / guitar / hammond / piano / vibes / percussion and a trio of female backing singers. Some spaghetti western influences with harmonica and marimba too. Includes a superb vocal version of “HURRY TO ME” from Ennio Morricone's “Metti Una Sera A Cena” soundtrack and several other groovy themes. Really elegant, gently psychedelic and jazzy all the way through. Reissued by Deja Vu a few years ago, but here we have the original 1st issue. Fans of Piccioni and Trovajoli will love the hammond sounds. Vinyl is conservatively graded as a shiny, strong VG+. It is closer to EX overall, but there’s one single scratch in the beginning of side 2, which causes some surface noise to the intro of “Softly as I leave you”. The laminated flipback sleeve is in strong EX condition, with minimal wear, close to NM.
