Description

Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 16 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Dutch beat, Dutch Psych and Dutch progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!

On offer, an extremely rare first U.K. pressing of Group 1850 – Agemo’s Trip to Mother Earth on the BLACK Philips label, cat no. VD 7063. This copy does NOT have the watermarks at the start of either side (most U.K. copies have a faint sounding pressing error, just like Kaleidoscope’s Faintly Blowing or H.P. Lovecraft II for example), what makes this copy extremely hard to find.

The record is in VG++ condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines on both sides. I have test played this record before putting it on Ebay and this copy plays as an EX copy in my deck. It is a common fact that these old 1960’s pressings can take quite a lot of damage before the playback quality deteriorates. The labels are in VG+ condition, there are some spindle marks on both sides and there is very faint wear along the spindle hole on side 1.

The cover is in VG(+) condition, there is a fold in the upper left hand corner on the front and on the back there a tape repaired tear of approx. 6.5 centimeters in the bottom section and a tear (this one is not repaired)  of approx. 1.5 centimetres on the opening edge. Further there are two bald spots in the bottom section of the spine, but the titles are completely legible. As you probably know, the late 1960’s Philips group gatefold covers are made from very thin cardboard and usually have wear all over the place. Unfortunately this is no exception, but it still looks very presentable in my opinion.

Although not in a dream mint condition, this U.K. copy of Group 1850’s Agemo’s Trip to Mother Earth album is practically impossible to find. Even with the typical watermark on the start of each side is looking for a needle in a haystack, but to find a copy that does NOT have these watermarks, is like winning the lottery! This is a marvellous opportunity for all psych fans! Happy Bidding!
