Description
I will declare a lower amount on the customs form for all countries so as to avoid/decrease high import charges. However, in the case of the EU all purchases are subject to VAT which eBay collect at point of sale. No shipping to Russia currently. Groundhogs : Crosscut Saw A-1U / B-1U 1st Press 1976 UAR
This first pressing plays with stunning quality on both sides and with no interference. The final track has only the bare minimum of inner groove distortion but I only mention it to be 'complete' with my grading, it really is a very minor issue. The clarity, depth and power of the audio is second to none and I have no hesitation in saying this is a FINAL UPGRADE pressing, the sonic quality is outstanding! The vinyl is in beautiful condition and has obviously not been played very much.
The cover remains in excellent condition with not too much wear and the original inner sleeve is in great condition.

Visual description
The vinyl is visually stunning and still has a lovely glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a strong bright light I can only see a handful of ultra faint hairlines, very very faint! There is no groove or surface wear and the run out grooves are pristine also. The UAR labels are unmarked and S1 has only minimal spindle wear, there is nothing on S2.
Play Grading
The intro on the title track 'Crosscut Saw' is perfect as is the opening vocal section. It continues in the same precise and Wellbelove's mid solo plays with supreme quality also. The remainder is of the same high end standard and the entire track plays 'as new' from the first note to the last including the fade out. There is not even a single static sound to be heard. Mint
'Promiscuity' is equally as strong and clear. It plays with stunning clarity, depth and power through every vocal and instrumental section. It just has one minor tick right at the end of the fade out so it seems a little critical to downgrade it because of that. Mint
'Boogie Withus' again plays to the highest standard possible with no sign of any interference. No background at all, it could not play with any greater precision. Comparable to an unplayed record. Another Mint track.
The acoustic intro on 'Fulfilment' plays with exceptional clarity i.e. no background and don't forget it lasts quite a long time! McPhee's opening vocal section has no intrusion either and the next quieter vocal is equal to that. From then on it plays with genuine quality and barely any inner groove distortion. Just a minor 'hint' perhaps but nothing intrusive. It builds superbly towards the end in typical Groundhogs style and Mint- is definitely a fair assessment of the audio. It builds

'Live A Little Lady' on S2 is 'as new' with no background - by the way I do not say 'as new' lightly. I only describe a track in that way if there is literally no background and if the original sonic quality is not affected in any way. That is the case here and Mint is very much deserved.
The intro on 'Three Way Split' is nigh on perfect with just one barely audible static and McPhee's opening vocal is exactly that, perfect. From then on it plays with superb clarity and depth. One of the strongest tracks on the album the long instrumental that eventually brings the track to a close is STUNNING. Mint
The quieter 'Mean Mistreater' demonstrates once more how well this vinyl has been preserve. Channelling Led Zepp III again if you ask me it plays with phenomenal audio throughout. Mint
The intro on 'Eleventh Hour' is superb with no intrusion. The opening vocal has not so much as a dust tick and this clean, clinical quality is kept up as it progresses. A modicum of inner groove distortion but again no more than what you expect on a barely played record and it still plays incredibly well. The rhythm section audio of Cook and Kent is strong and deep and is perfect sonically and it's only McPhee's guitar that is affected slightly by distortion. I am perhaps focussing on it too much because the long instrumental section still plays with stunning quality but I do like to be be 100% honest in my grading! Easily the best instrumental on the album I will say Near Mint although I think some would disagree! Better basically! I played it loud and the playback is immense!
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The cover is in excellent condition with only a little shelf wear. The edges have minimal rubbing and the spine is very clean with only some light wear on each corner. The top right corner is in great shape and the one bottom left has some light rubbing again. The opening edge is near perfect with no handling wear. The front cover is unmarked and you can only see the corner 'rubs' and a faint crease line near the bottom right corner and the top left one. The back cover is in lovely condition with only a tiny corner crease bottom left and some very faint ringwear which you can only see when you hold it at a certain angle. A very respectable example overall.
The original plain white die-cut inner sleeve is great condition with no side splits or tears, hardly any creasing and only the bare minimum of age related fading on the two side edges.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
