Every Tuesday night (European time) I will offer old punky records. My name is ‘punky_music’


Cult record. Very melodic Hardcore/Punk classic from the States. Produced by Ian MacKaye of MINOR THREAT and Bert Queiroz of YOUTH BRIGADE. This American album by GRAY MATTER titled ‘Food For Thought’. It’s their brilliant first LP. Band members are Dante Ferrando (drummer) and Mark Haggerty (guitar), both formerly of IRON CROSS. First pressings were issued on R&B records in 1985. This is the second pressing, released on famous Washington D.C. label ‘Dischord’ in 1991 (catalogue number Dischord 48). As you know, label mates are the TEEN IDLES, NECROS, SCREAM, GOVERNMENT ISSUE and SOA. Complete with printed photo/lyric inner sleeve. Engineered by Don Zientara, who worked with many Hardcore bands. Only crackers like ‘Flash In Time’ / ‘Crisis And Compromise’ / ‘Give Me A Clue’ / ‘Fill A Void’ and so on. All records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending. Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt.
