The GRATEFUL DEAD Self Titled (Warner W-1689) Australia 1967.
Here's an Extremely Rare Original AUSTRALIAN 1960s Mono Pressing of the Grateful Dead's debut. This is the only copy i've ever seen! The Grateful Dead weren't very popular in Australia, particularly in their early days...so this album obviously didn't sell many copies over here.
The Cover is EX- (see pics + zoom) nice & glossy front laminated sleeve, a bit of shelfware around the edge & very light rubbing on rear. Hard to find a much better sleeve, i'd expect. The Vinyl is VG+, light sleeve scuffing, no nasty or feelable marks.
There's what appears to be a slight label pressing error on S1 label (black swirly bit near the spindle), i'm pretty sure it's not from a marker, nor does it appear torn...as it's completely flat.
It also has a hand typed Lyrics page for 'Morning Dew', which was presumably done by the original owner. Obviously it adds no extra value, but just cool to know that someone really got into the album, and took the time to type out some Lyrics.
