Description
Up for auction from our personal collection is this Ultra Rare Original Pressing of the Grateful Dead LP entitled, "Hollywood Palladium 1" and issued on stunning, semi-translucent Red Wax (which has a few faint splashes of black spatter) by the Trademark of Quality label. Both the LP and cover are in strong VG++ condition with no marks, scratches, writing, or de-facing. Likewise, the silver-on-black sideways pig TMQ labels are in excellent condition with no writing or marks, and although we have not played this beauty in years, the vinyl itself looks beautiful and clean (see our photos). The cream colored cover is super-clean with only the faintest hint of ring wear beginning at the top and is stamped with the album title in purple letters across the front, with a round gold sideways pig sticker affixed in the upper left-hand corner (see our photos). No seam splits, rips, or writing anywhere, and only the top seam is beginning to fray with age. Simply a gorgeous specimen for the discerning Grateful Dead fan and/or collector of fine labels such as TMOQ, TAKRL, Rubber Dubber etc. collector. No track listings written anywhere on the LP (and not sure if this copy was ever issued with an insert back in the day), but those are easy enough to find online at any number of fansites.
