THE GRATEFUL DEAD WERE THE LEADING LIGHTS OF THE SAN FRANCISCO SCENE IN THE 1960'S. AFTER THE BASIC RECORDING PRACTICES THAT PRODUCED THEIR DEBUT ALBUM THEY DECIDED CONVENTIONAL RECORDING TECHNIQUES WERE NOT FOR THEM.

THE FOLLOWING ALBUM, ANTHEM OF THE SUN, WAS A LOVINGLY CRAFTED MIX OF LIVE PERFORMANCES AND STUDIO WIZADRY. IT PRODUCED THE MOST PSYCHEDELIC SOUNDS HEARD AT THAT TIME

THIS ITEM IS A FACTORY SEALED USA PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM FEATURING THE RARELY SEEN WHITE COVER.

THE ALBUM AND SLEEVE ARE TOTALLY MINT, SHRINK WRAP NEVER REMOVED FROM THE SLEEVE, DISC (OBVIOUSLY) NEVER PLAYED

IN SOME TWENTY+ YEARS OF COLLECTING GRATEFUL DEAD VINYL I ONLY EVER SAW ONE COPY OF THIS ALBUM WITH A WHITE SLEEVE - AND BOUGHT IT!
