Description

GRAND FUNK RAILROAD E Pluribus Funk
Capitol SW-853

Gorgeous FACTORY SEALED original 1971 pressing of Grand Funk's "E Pluribus Funk."  This is the round jacket made to look like a nickel with the power trio on front and Shea Stadium on the back.  Grand Funk Railroad was then big enough as a live act to sell out at Shea several nights in a row.
This copy is flawless.  Literally just as it left the maufacturer just before Christmas 47 years ago.  There is a partial PROMO Punch on the far edge of the LP.  There is no shrink wrap separation or tearing anywhere else on the album.  You can barely see the dark blue inside paper inner sleeve unaffected by the promo punch inside.  No bends, splits, or any damage whatsoever on the jacket other than the edge promo punch.
The SILVER HYPE STICKER on the back of the jacket is clean and unfaded.  Sticker hypes the single "Footstompin' Music" and "Loneliness."  It aslo includes a caution ("Do not use sharp object to open album.  Simply peel off film wrap.")

Record:   Factory Sealed.   (47 years old and never opened!)

Jacket:    Factory Sealed    (Beautifully care for.  Sealed in original shrink wrap with no wrap separation - less than 1/2" partial promo punch at front right top edge. Factory hype sticker on shrink on back.)

NO RETURNS ON OPENED SEALED RECORDS.

ABOUT ME

I am an audiophile collector, not a dealer. I want to own original pressings for their history but I also want to listen to the music as it was originally intended to be heard.

All records sold are ones that I have acquired for my personal collection and have decided to sell. Most are duplicates to ones I already own or titles that I no longer have an interest in hearing. All records are collector's quality (VG+, EX, NM, Sealed). I have not interest in selling you a worthless records.

GRADING is Goldmine.

Mint - Only sealed and verified UNPLAYED records. No real need to use it. I will identify these records as SEALED or NM UNPLAYED.

NM - Full gloss. No marks visible other than factory marks. No needle marks or sleeve scuffs.

EX (VG++) - As good as NM for any collector who wants to listen to the records, but may have just a very few, very superficial marks that do NOT (and in theory, could not) affect play.

VG+ - A perfect player once properly cleaned but may have a few more superficial marks or smudges. Superficial marks do not affect play The music is not on the top of the disc but in the grooves. Records that have some superficial marks from use are also likely to have dust and grime in the grooves. The pops you are hearing on these records are from the debris. WET CLEAN YOUR RECORDS with a good, safe solution and a vacuum machine for best results.

VG records and below have enough damage to the vinyl (groove damage, deep scratches) to affect play and the enjoyment of the record. They are not collection quality. I do NOT sell them.
