Description
You are looking at an original 1956 Pacific Jazz mono deep groove pressing of Grand Encounter 2° East 3° West. Vinyl in unusually clean condition and looking barely played. LP ultrasonically cleaned and placed in a new poly inner sleeve.
Vinyl Condition: NM-. Side 1 is NM- and side 2 is NM. Both sides look unusually glossy and clean. Side 1 has a very faint, very superficial hairline that can only be seen under a bright light and that is completely inaudible. Otherwise silky smooth gloss and crisp and clean labels on both sides. Looks like it may have been gently played once or twice and then never played again. Play tested and plays EX to NM all the way through on both sides. I heard faint background noise and low crackleoccasionally in quieter passages. Superb, very atmospheric pressing sonics. It feels like Chico Hamilton, Him Hall, John Lewis, Percy Heath and Bill Perkins are all in the same room as you are. A wonderful listen all the way through.
Outer Sleeve (cover) condition: EX. Unusually glossy and clean. Looks barely handled. Minor shelf edge wear. I see next to know shelf ring wear. No split seams, no writing, no price stickers, no major wear whatsoever.
