HIS FIRST solo album outside the confines of CSNY and following hot on the heels of the glorious 'Deja Vu' album so you know its gotta be good. Actually its not just good its truly one of the best solo albums issued by any member of CSNY ever... Nash's wonderful falsetto vocal belies the crisp intent of the songs fulled by political activism and, lets be honest, years of smoking the wacky-backy. Natch, he ropes in half of Laurel Canyon to help out including Dave Mason, Rita Coolidge, Dallas Taylor, Neil Young, David Crosby, Phil Lesh, Jerry Garcia, David Lindley and Bobby Keys among many others. Must have been a great party in the studio! Of course the musicianship is one thing but the real winner here apart from Nash's voice are the songs - all self penned except for 'Be Yourself' which was co-penned by brother in arms and similar ex-pat musician Terry Reid. Great tracks abound such as 'Military Madness', 'Wounded Bird', 'I Used To be King', 'Simple Man', 'Man In The Mirror' and the single 'Chicago'.
Highly recommended and a beautiful copy.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Beautiful clean and shiny condition. A few spindle marks visible on labels but virtually no other signs of use. Grades as top MINT-!
Cover: Only light signs of any use. Issued in a beautifully designed fully textured cover - retains printers bloom. Sharp corners (a couple lightly worn), no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and one light creases to corner visible to rear. Spine is slightly worn and a little flattened. Grades as Ex
