Description

Up for auction is a very nice copy of the Grachan Moncur III album "Some Other Stuff" released on Blue Note Records (ST-84177) in 1965.  This is a guaranteed original stereo first pressing.  Correct "New York USA" labels, along with "43 West 61st St., New York 23" address on back of album cover.  Also has the correct first pressing "Ears" and "VanGelder" stamped in the run-out groove.  Includes original factory Blue Note inner sleeve.
Cover is in very nice condition.  No ring wear or chips.  Seams are strong and intact, no splits or cracking.  Corners are sharp and un-rubbed, though the lower left has a very slight crease.  Back cover is very attractive, bone white, no age discoloration or writing or ring wear.  Does have a former price sticker in upper right corner.  Could be removed, but I'll leave that to the buyer if desired.  I'd grade this cover Near Mint Minus (NM-).
Vinyl is also in very nice condition, with no obvious scratches or scuffs.  Has a couple of very faint marks that can't be felt, nor do they affect play back in any way.  Vinyl retains its original high gloss shine.  Labels are bright and clean, though on seems to have a small pen mark (see photo).  No marks around spindle holes.  Overall, looks very clean and presentable.  Play tested, and it sounds nice and clean.  A little very faint surface noise at first, but quickly fades away.  Beautiful stereo sound.  I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint Minus/Excellent Plus (NM-/EX+).  Very nice copy.
