GOREFEST - Erase LP (grey vinyl with orange/yellow splatters)
GOREFEST from the Zeeland region of the Netherlands belonged to the spearhead of the brutally rumbling European Death Metal in the early 90s.
''Erase'' with its 8 tracks was the 3rd full lenght album from orginal 1994,
which is finally finding its way back into the living rooms. Musically speaking, ''Erase'' is of course beyond any doubt.
This is where uncompromising, unpolished death metal of the very high class reigns, which makes GOREFEST, not without reason had really made known worldwide, and these recordings to a genre classics.
Coupled with socially critical, profound lyrics, this Death Metal interpretation stood out from the scene, not least because of the drum skills of Ed Warbys & of course de Koeijer's deep, guttural vocals, which are still unparalleled today.
Small, compositional gourmet pieces that offer a lot of variety and are not consistently structured according to the usual structures. With ''Erase'' GOREFEST broke the usual Death Metal frame without leaving it entirely.
The 2019's re-edition on limited vinyl comes in grey wax with orange/yellow splatters in gatefold cover.
